I've been so busy! I can't believe that we have just ended week six. I've been doing so much. I have been traveling alot. The last two weekends I was in Ireland, once to visit see my friend in Cork, and then a trip to Dublin with my Irish Lit course. They were both great, but meant that my weekdays have been really busy doing work.
This is what one of those weeks look like: Friday, Saturday and Sunday traveling. Monday, sleep in a bit to catch up from the traveling. Then frantic studying Monday and Tuesday, for my lit course at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Then after class till about midnight I write a poem/poems for my Oxford Tutorial. Then I'm in Oxford all day Wednesday, and then Thursday morning I study all day until my 4 p.m. Writing from the Self Class.
After class I go to Sainsbury's to grab dinner and then take the bus up to the university for the Bath Uni LGBT meeting at 7 p.m. Afterwards we go to Mandalyn's (gay bar/pub) to hang out. It is a great end to the week. Then on Friday get up to travel ... and start it all again. More details about all this coming up ... for now here are some photos...
The beautiful stones of Stonehenge.
View from the other side.
It was bitterly cold, and the wind was blowing us all sideways. Look at my hat to see how hard it was blowing: my little bobble thing is completely horizontal!!
Here are my housemates (minus one). We are all shivering and shaking with cold!
The beautiful Salisbury Cathedral.
The cloisters of the Cathedral. I would love to sit up against those trees and spend a day reading...
The hallway in the cloisters, used for some scenes in the Harry Potter movies.
The arches inside the cathedral. No matter how many cathedrals I see they amaze me. I particularly like the gothic cathedrals that are here in England.
Really neat nativity scene.
Nativity scene closeup. I thought they just looked so cool, a work of art.
Lacock- "Old English Village"
The houses are so quaint.
Cute corner. I would love to have this house.
This is the pub where we had dinner. It is one of the oldest in England, from the 1300's I believe. The food was delicious.
