Photos from the trip to Sevilla.
The inside of the cathedral. The carved wood of the organs was beautiful. I liked the effect of the silver and wood more than the gold of the organs we have seen in other cathedrals.
A view out of one of the windows of the Torre Giraldo.
View of the cathedral from the top of the tower.
All of us eating in the cathedral patio. We were so hungry!
The magnificent Plaza de Espana.
Isn't he cute?
Here we are in front of the ceramic tiles representing Granada.
We also visited the Alcazar, the royal palaces. The decoration is in the mudajer (arabic) style, and is beautiful, like the inside of the Alhambra.
The royal baths.
The wall around the royal gardens. The view from the walkway at the top was grand.
Part of the wall, next to a pool of water. (Which was filled with huge black carp! And some ducks.)
One of the best things about Sevilla was the amount of green space, and its trees. (Actual big trees, not like the things they call trees in the parks in Granada.)
A real river. Feast your eyes on the water! And the beautiful blue sky.
Caroline and I.
One evening I went for a walk, and took this picture of the cathedral, and a lamp-post against the dark evening sky.
The bull-fighting ring.
A painting depicting a bullfight.
Self-explanatary.
A picture from the flamenco performance. The experience was beyond words.
Another pic of the dancers.
The ruins of the roman city.
Amazing mosaics.
The roman ruins was the last stop of our fantastic visit to Sevilla ... we then headed back to Granada.
