Open WorldCat and Google Books

A new library catalog option gives you the choice to run a search in the Open WorldCat and Google Books finding tools.

Open WorldCat is access to the First Search database, WorldCat, which is familiar to many of you, but is being made openly available from the web. Open WorldCat checks for ownership of materials from other libraries, including local public and academic libraries. Google Books is the popular search engine's effort to provide access to full and limited views of digitized books that have been contributed by libraries and publishers. Both these finding tools will be a quick way to expand your access to information beyond the ISR library collection and can be used along with the EZ Borrow and ILLIAD interlibrary loan services.

We encourage your feedback and questions about the catalog. Please send your comments and questions to Isabella O'Neill at ioneill@bucknell.edu.
